by Les 100 Ciels Team on April 12, 2019

Whether you’re seeking inspiration to update your home or just a little interior escapism, we have got you covered. Here at Les 100 Ciels we know a cosy and curated space can influence your everyday life. It’s good for the soul to refresh your living space now and then and we’ve found some beautiful inspiration to do just that. Read through our list of the best interior ideas to follow right now – but be warned, house envy is guaranteed!

Natural Touch

Plants, weathered look furniture and raw wood are always welcome for someone looking to connect with nature.

Organic and sustainable materials – such as wooden floors, vertical gardens, air plants, or re-used paper, fabric and even plastics – draw the exterior and nature indoors. Adding details to your home such as air plants hung from esparto rope, or recycled wood worktops will create the warmth we look for when we are at home.

Memphis Details

On the other hand, you could opt for the Memphis Movement. This style of design, known for being colourful and modern, is overtaking mid-century modern design bringing the eighties back to the home- and we love it! Primary colours, graphic shapes and patterns and bright furniture that is comfy and unusual characterize this movement.

Texture

A change of textures or fabrics can completely renew a room or surface. Changing cushions, moving from winter blankets to light summer fabrics such as linen, cotton or rayon, saying goodbye to velvet and introducing breathable textures can all help to bring a new look and atmosphere to your home during the Spring season.

Colours

‘Mustard hues have been the go-to shade over the warmer months in our homes. No longer content with smaller pops of mustard, we are seeing a move towards larger investment pieces of furniture which add a bold, refreshing burst of colour to our living spaces,’ explains Melanie Archer, Colour, Material and Finish designer at John Lewis & Partners.

Changing the colour palette or adding a bold pop of colour can be all that you need to refresh the style and change the look of your living space. We recommend Living Coral, a Pantone colour to reflect the warmth and light of summer colours in 2019. To make a more subtle change to your colour palette, add or change small elements to your home such as new cushions, rugs, curtains or bed sheets.
