A roundup of SS19 Trends

by Les 100 Ciels Team on February 08, 2019

With the cold weather grasping us, it is hard to believe that spring is just around the corner. But fear not, we are bringing the best of this Spring / Summer season  trends to carry some heat back into your wardrobe.

SS19 collections show distinctive trends such as creamy neutrals, neon colours, animal prints and much more! The silhouettes are soft, the colours bold and the textures outstanding. Take inspiration from our favourite fashion trends seen on the runway and get ready to be out of those winter coats and stepping into the freshness of spring!

Bold shades

Neon is back in full force, either as a single color or color block with various bright tones. A popular trend in AW18 it is back again in a new form for the spring season. The shades are just as extreme but the fabrics are now lighter, moving between woven and breathable fabrics across both clothing and accessories. A bold statement but definitely a SS19 wardrobe must-have.

Nude colours

In stark contrast, catwalks have also been clear on a favourite soft hue for this new season: beige. A number of fashion brands have exhibited head-to-toe nude looks creating an elegant and timeless look for those who find neon shades a little too much to take. The sunny season will see a warm palette of soft tones such as vanilla, blush and bronze. From maxi jumpers to matching suits, beige is most definitely the new black this season and the range of shades available will elevate any skin tone.

Soft tailoring

Sharp, polished and elegant. Tailored trousers and blazers emphasize a gender neutral vibe and are also well suited for all sizes. Last season it was all about boxy suits, sharp tailoring and masculine shapes but for SS19 this has been reworked with a more feminine twist. From luxurious fabrics to colourful prints, this season’s co-ords will be your go-to look for all summer events.

Utility wear

World War II spawned a range of practical and economical utilitarian clothing that was simple and functional and paid little attention to aesthetics. Nevertheless, the attire gained a following over the years and has appeared on fashion  runways many times. For SS19 the utility wear trend has been reworked bringing it to another level: hard wearing fabrics have now been replaced with luxe silky and cotton blends, clean lines, big buttons and noticeable pockets. Make some space in your wardrobe as this trend is irresistibly functional and pleasing.

The new Spring/Summer 19 collection is coming soon. Stay tuned!
