Bonfire Night

by Les 100 Ciels Team on November 01, 2017

Remember, remember the 5th of November…and don’t forget your cashmere jumper!

It’s Bonfire night, so get ready for fireworks, sparklers and toffee apples!

Bonfire Night is one of our favourite annual events in the UK bringing some of the best traditions with it, including big, cosy bonfires and an enchanting display of fireworks. Bonfire night traditionally celebrates the failure of the Gunpowder Plot which attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605. Nowadays, it’s an excuse for everyone to wrap up warm and gather with family and friends around an enormous bonfire, watching fireworks shooting up and colouring the sky in brilliant colour. Nothing says Autumn in the UK, like feeling the warmth of a bonfire on your face, sipping on warm, mulled wine or and drawing your name in the sky with a sparkler!

Many see Bonfire Night as the transitional point from lightweight jackets and jumpers, to some heavier and cosier pieces. If you need some ideas on what to wear this bonfire night (its meant to be a cool one), think outfits that keep you warm and cosy, whilst keeping a fashion forward edge.

Here are our top picks from our new arrivals to keep you warm this Bonfire Night!

Sheeka: Your BFF as temperatures start to drop. A 100% cashmere jumper, with directional ribbed detailing and a funnel neckline for an extra cosy feel. Sheeka is as practical as it is versatile.
